School Welcome

Welcome to Elk Meadow Elementary!

Welcome to Elk Meadow! We are so glad you are here.
At Elk Meadow, we believe school is about so much more than academics. It is about creating a place where every child feels known, safe, supported, and capable—a place where students know they belong and believe in what they can become.
Our schoolwide values—Safe, Kind, Responsible, and Brave—guide how we learn, work, and care for one another. We hold high expectations for our students while also recognizing that every child comes to us with a different story, different strengths, and different needs. Our job is to know our students well, build strong relationships, provide meaningful learning experiences, and help each child grow.
This year, our vision is Together We Soar.
Those words are more than a theme. They represent the kind of school community we are working to build. Students soar when they have adults who believe in them. Teachers soar when they feel supported and connected. And our school is strongest when families and staff work together with a shared belief in what is possible for every child.
We want Elk Meadow to be a place where students are challenged to think, encouraged to persevere, given opportunities to lead, and supported when things are hard. We want our students to leave us not only as stronger readers, writers, mathematicians, artists, and thinkers, but also as confident, compassionate people who know they can do hard things and make a difference in their community.
Families are an important part of that work. We invite you to be involved, ask questions, share your ideas, celebrate with us, and partner with us throughout the year.
We are proud to be Elk Meadow Eagles, and we are excited for all that lies ahead.
Together We Soar.
Warmly,
Kit Galloway

Reaching Potential
We believe with our student first approach and dedication to high quality, research-based best practices, every student will learn to his/her full potential. We ask for your support and participation in this effort by sending your child to school on time every day, encouraging him/her to read for pleasure at least 20 minutes every night, monitoring homework and progress and asking your child to share what they learned at school each day.
Finally, we urge you to become involved at Elk Meadow! Click here to learn more about how to:
